Given the advances in electronic ignitions, one of the best things to do for improved performance and reliability is to swap out the old point ignition system with a modern electronic ignition.

Here's how:
The install is pretty straight forward. To help with tuning, make sure to note the position of the original points ignition plate before swapping to the Dynatek ignition plate. Here's how it's done:
